Ipswich Town have unveiled new signing Chris Goteni, who has joined from French side Saint-Apollinaire.
He arrives on a deal until the end of the season, with the option for an extension, with manager Mick McCarthy having revealed his capture following the 1-0 victory over Leeds on January 13.
The teenager has been playing for Saint-Apollinaire in the fifth tier of French football, but has signed a deal until the end of the season after impressing during a trial at Town’s Playford Road base.

“He’s joined us until the end of the season with an option. He came and trained with the first team and did alright,” McCarthy said.
“He played in a practice match the other day and was awful, but I’d seen enough in the training.”
Goteni has officially finalised his move after awaiting international clearance in recent weeks and is expecting to be involved with the Blues’ development squad.
