Ipswich Town striker David McGoldrick is being linked with four Championship clubs as the January transfer deadline gets closer.
McGoldrick, who is out of contract in the summer, has previously been linked with a move to Neil Warnock’s Cardiff City, and they still lead the chase, according to reports.
But Birmingham City, Fulham and Sheffield Wednesday are all said to be monitoring the situation, with the transfer window set to shut a week today.
Boss Mick McCarthy has previously admitted that the silky frontman is a target for other clubs.

He said: “He is an obvious target. None of us want to lose him but we’ll see what happens.
“There is the short-term view on the four months left of the season and then the long-term where, if he was to go, it wouldn’t be great for the short-term but if we replace him with somebody younger then that may well be beneficial for the long-term.”
