Ipswich Town are interested in signing experienced defender Craig Cathcart.
As first reported by The Athletic, the Blues are considering making a move for the 72-cap Northern Ireland international following his release by Watford.
Cathcart, 34, has racked up 390 appearances in the Premier League and Championship for Watford, Blackpool and Plymouth having started out in Manchester United's academy.
He's captained club and country on several occasions over the years.
Town are on the look out for a centre-back with Championship experience to compete with and develop Luke Woolfenden, Cameron Burgess and George Edmundson.
Richard Keogh fufilled that role last season, but was released at the end of his contract.
Thanks for the memories, Craig. 🙏 pic.twitter.com/OGSm6eT280
