Colchester United manager Joe Dunne has almost certainly completed his work in the transfer market this month, by today signing Alie Sesay on loan from Leicester City.
Dunne had been searching for a back-up centre-half, due to Josh Thompson’s long-term ankle injury, which has left only Tom Eastman and Magnus Okuonghae as the two specialist senior centre-halves at the club.
Sesay, aged 20, has been a regular in Leicester’s under-21 development squad this season, and has captained the side.
Sesay will go straight into the squad for the U’s home game against Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday evening. The U’s have no game this weekend.
