Ahead of tomorrow's clash between Ipswich Town and Nottingham Forest, Ross Halls takes a look at 10 players to have featured for both sides.
CHRIS WOOD
The current Forest forward moved to the City Ground initially on loan in January 2023, before joining on a permanent deal that summer. The New Zealand international has eight Premier League goals in 14 games so far this season.
Wood was on loan with the Blues at the end of the 2014/15 season, making eight appearances without scoring after making a temporary move from Leicester City.
DAVID JOHNSON
The forward played for Town between 1997 to 2001, where he was part of the side that won promotion to the Premier League. He scored 62 goals in 158 games.
Johnson was sold to Forest for £3.5 million in January 2001, where he notched 50 goals in more than 150 appearances during his five-year spell.
LUKE CHAMBERS
The former Town captain made close to 400 appearances for Town during his nine-year spell at Portman Road, having joined the Blues from Forest on a free transfer in summer of 2012.
Chambers made over 200 appearances for the Reds during his six seasons, where he was also their club captain.
CHRIS BART-WILLIAMS
The midfielder, who sadly passed away last year, played close to 250 appearances for Forest between 1995 to 2001, before moving on to Charlton Athletic.
Bart-Williams then signed for Town, initially on loan from the Addicks in September 2003, before it was made permanent in the December. He made 28 appearances for the Blues, scoring two goals.
DAVID MCGOLDRICK
The forward spent four years at the City Ground, where he scored nine goals in 79 games, before Mick McCarthy signed him at Town, initially on loan in January 2013.
McGoldrick made his move to Portman Road permanent that summer, where he netted 45 goals in over 150 games for the Blues during his five-year spell.
JACK COLBACK
The midfielder spent the last five seasons at Forest, where he played an integral part in them securing Championship promotion in 2021/22.
Colback made over 50 appearances for Town during his two loan spells from Sunderland, where he was voted Ipswich's Players' Player of the Season in 2009/10.
DARYL MURPHY
The Irishman scored 67 goals in over 200 games for the Blues during his four different spells, before departing for Newcastle United for £3 million in the summer of 2017.
Murphy moved on to Forest a year later, where he notched 13 goals in 60 games during his two seasons at the City Ground.
PAUL ANDERSON
The winger initially joined Forest on loan from Liverpool in the summer of 2008, before he moved to the City Ground on a permanent basis in 2009, playing more than 100 games for them.
Anderson was with the Blues between 2013 to 2015, having signed from Bristol City in a deal which saw Jay Emmanuel-Thomas move in the other direction, making over 50 appearances for Town, scoring seven goals.
ARO MURIC
The current Town keeper had an unsuccessful loan spell at Forest from Man City in the 2019/20 season, making just four appearances in total.
Muric has had a rollercoaster start to life at Town but has seemed to settle as the Blues number one.
DAN HARDING
The full-back featured over 50 times for Town after he joined the club in a part-exchange deal for Ian Westlake from Leeds United in 2006.
Harding joined Forest from Southampton in the summer of 2012, where he also made over 50 appearances during his spell at the City Ground.
