Readers of the East Anglian Daily Times and Ipswich Star are being given the chance to see their name in print ahead of the publication of a new book dedicated to the football grounds of Suffolk.
'On the drag', by former Archant sports journalist Steve Penny, covers all 50-plus senior clubs in the county, from Ipswich Town to the Suffolk & Ipswich League, as well as many others down to park football level.
Steve said: “I have done similar publications for Lincolnshire and Yorkshire and, since a move to the Suffolk coast, thought one for my new ‘home’ county would prove popular.
“Since Ipswich Town’s promotion to the highest level, the vagaries of the Premier League fixture list means many Tractor Boys fans will be at a loose end on Saturday afternoons. This book will help them get their fix of live football right on their doorstep.
“It will also appeal to the hundreds of ‘groundhoppers’ across the country, helping them discover the delights of football in this part of the world.”
The book will be out in time for Christmas and anyone ordering before the end of November can have their name and a dedication included on a page of advance subscribers.
The book will be widely available across the county and on Amazon for £19.95 but orders made before December 16 for the 180-page book are just £15.
For details of how to pre-order, email steve@stevepennymedia.co.uk – stating 'EADT pre-order' as the title.
