Ipswich Town Women won a dramatic FA Cup tie against promotion rivals Hashtag United yesterday afternoon.
The Essex hosts took an early lead through Wiktoria Fronc before Maisy Barker equalised seven minutes before the break.
The Tags restored their lead in the 71st minute through former Town player Holly Turner, but Sophie Peskett managed to bag an equaliser in the sixth minute of stoppage-time.
Joe Sheehan's side subsequently won the penalty shootout 4-1. Keeper Natalia Negri made two saves as Issy Bryant, Issy Fisher, Maria Boswell and Lucy O’Brien netted their kicks to seal progress to the third round.
Table-topping Town (W8 D2) return to league action on Sunday with a home clash against AFC Wimbledon at the Martello Ground, Felixstowe.
They return to Hashtag, who are level on points but having played two games extra, for a crucial league clash on December 15.
