Natasha Thomas scored another hat-trick as Ipswich Town Women won 7-0 at Cheltenham Town to extended their unbeaten run in the Southern Premier Division yesterday.
Joe Sheehan's side went into this game off the back of heavy wins over MK Dons, where they scored 25 goals across two games against the Dons in league and cup games.
Thomas, who hit five last week, opened the scoring in the fifth minute when the forward took advantage of a poor defensive clearance before firing past the keeper.
Town doubled their lead eight minutes later when Shauna Guyatt slotted home, before the Jamaica international Thomas notched her second of the game in the 37th minute.
They weren't finished there in the first half as Sophie Peskett and Charlotte Fleming added the fourth and fifth goals for the Blues just before the break.
The sixth goal for Town came in the 68th minute when Sophie Peskett crossed into the centre of the box and the ball was headed home by Thomas to complete her hat-trick.
Ella Rutherford, who was making her return following a knee operation, added the seventh as the Blues maintained their unbeaten start to the league season.
Town now sit second in the table, with three points behind leaders Hashtag United, but Sheehan's side have two games in hand over the Essex outfit.
They return to action when they host third place Oxford United in Felixstowe this Sunday.
Town Women: Negri, Mitchell (Garrad), Boswell (c), Wearing, Barker (Hughes), Robertson (King), Fleming, Peskett (Bryant), Guyatt, O’Brien (Rutherford), Thomas.
