Ipswich Town duo Sammie Szmodics and Dara O'Shea have been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for their upcoming Nations League B games.

The Boys in Green currently sit third in Group 2, knowing that a win against Finland in Dublin on Tuesday, November 14th, would see them avoid automatic relegation to Nations League C.

After that, they face a huge clash against arch-rivals England on Sunday, November 17th. This will be their first trip to Wembley since November 2020, when they were beaten 3-0.

Szmodics is currently on eight international caps, while O'Shea has 30 at senior level. Town team-mates Chiedozie Ogbene and Jack Taylor likely would've been included in the squad if they hadn't picked up injuries last month.

Former Ipswich loanees Mark McGuinness and Troy Parrott have also been called by manager Heimir Hallgrímsson.

The Blues head to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday (2pm) in their last game before the November international break.
