"There was lots of successes from today as well with players getting minutes and some good goals which will give players a lot more confidence.

"It was a solid performance and a really convincing one.

"We didn't set a target of how many goals we wanted but goal difference is so important at this level.

"We're conscious that score lines at the level of this probably shouldn't be taking place but that's a conversation for a different day.

"We performed and we tried to get our details right and be as professional as we can and the numbers are just byproducts of the hard work we put in.

She said: "I've been trying to get more goals and assists this season from playing left-back.

"With my first goal, I thought why not give it a go. I practice it in training all the time, so I did it and then it went in and then it gave me a lot of confidence going into the second half and then the second half was a similar picture.

"I thought I may as well have another go and managed to get the goal so I am happy to have helped the team.

"I was a bit shocked. I'm not used to goals anymore. Hopefully it will help me get more goals in the future.

"We know from a couple of seasons ago that goal difference is a massive thing and we really wanted to let our attacking players score as many goals as they can and be clinical."

MK Dons will return to Felixstowe next Sunday as the two teams face each other in the FA Cup.

Sheehan added: "Because of the financial incentive available as well, it makes a massive difference to us.

"Next week will be a normal week for us. We will review the game and highlight bits we can be pleased with and build on and some bits we can tidy up.

"There weren't many of those today but we always try and have a balanced review of the game."

"We will prepare a team to come back here next week to try and progress in the competition."
