The Tractor Girls dispatched Plymouth Argyle at Home Park this afternoon, winning 5-1 to extend their unbeaten run to nine games in all competitions.

The first action of the game came in the 12th minute as Shauna Guyatt took aim from outside the area, but her long-range effort went just over the crossbar.

The deadlock was broken just four minutes later, however, as Guyatt's corner was met by defender Leah Mitchell in the area who headed the ball through the Plymouth goalkeepers legs and across the line.

Town continued to press for another, which they thought they had got in the 25th minute when the ball was in the back of the net from a corner, but the flag had gone up for offside.

Despite Town seeing much of the ball, the hosts equalised two minutes into first half stoppage time through Charlotte Whitmore.

Two minutes after the restart, Town almost retook the lead as Angela Addison struck the crossbar from a freekick 20-yards out.

In the 53rd minute, Charlotte Fleming scored her first goal for the club since joining in the summer, volleying a cleared header into the back of the net to give Town a deserved lead.

Town made it three just five minutes later, Addison this time finding the back of the net from the edge of the area, finding the bottom right corner.

The Tractor Girls' newest all-time appearance maker, Natasha Thomas, who has made 218 appearances for the club, almost made it 4-1 to Town but her headed effort was blocked and cleared away.

Town captain Maria Boswell made it four for Town in the 89th minute as she tapped in from close range.

In the 95th minute, Fleming got her second of the game and Town's fifth of the afternoon as her first time effort in the area was pushed on to the post and across the line.

This convincing win puts Town within five points off top of the league Hashtag United, with two games in hand.
