West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui said the Hammers deserved to win after his side put Ipswich Town to the sword in a 4-1 victory yesterday.
Pressure had been mounting on the Irons chief after a poor start to the season which had seen them lose all three of their home games thus far.
But they impressed against Town, who entered East London unbeaten in four and left on the wrong side of a chastening defeat.

Lopetegui told Sky Sports: "It was an important day for us but we deserved to win against a good team like Ipswich.
"We started very well but suffered a goal in an action I think we can avoid but after the mentality was strong."
Speaking to the Hammers website, he added: "I’m happy for the fans and the players too because they deserve this. It was a hard match, as all the matches in the Premier League are, but we did very well.
"We started very well, but suffered a very early equalising goal. I think after that we had a very good mentality, we kept strong and we deserved to score before we did get the second.
"In the last chance of the half we did score, and we kept going in the second half. We kept looking for goals and in the end we achieved a good victory."

Hammers star Jarrod Bowen, who bagged a goal and an assist in the win, said his side were 'much better, and that was what we needed.'
He added: “We all knew what it meant to us to put in a positive performance and get a positive result before the international break, and we spoke about what we needed to do.
"We’ve been on the end of some early goals, and it was good for us to get up and running from the start even if we weren’t happy when they levelled things up.
“Mo (Kudus) scored at the perfect time, because 1-1 is always a dangerous scoreline, and we spoke at half-time about getting the next goal and putting the game to bed. We managed to do that, thankfully."
