Ipswich Town were handed their third defeat of the Premier League season away at West Ham, losing 4-1. Alex Jones provides his player ratings.

Arijanet Muric

Nothing much he could've done for any of the goals. Was sold short for the third, which he played to the opposition. 6

Ben Johnson

Never looked overly comfortable against Mohammed Kudus. His overhit pass to Muric was what let West Ham in to score their third. 4

Dara O'Shea

Did well to clear a shot off the line. Didn't feel like he was tested as much as his centre-back partner. 6

Jacob Greaves

Didn't look overly comfortable. Won quite a few aerial duels but struggled when West Ham's attack ran at him with pace. 5

Leif Davis

Ipswich couldn't get him into the areas he likes. Set piece deliveries were okay. Could've had an assist for Greaves' header. 5

Sam Morsy

Couldn't dictate play like he usually does. Some nice raking passes from deep, but not enough to get Ipswich going. Avoided a fifth booking of the season. 5

Kalvin Phillips

Punished for his mistake in the opening minute, beaten too easily by Jarrod Bowen for West Ham's third. Not a great return to his former club. 4

Wes Burns

Got into some good positions but his crosses just weren't threatening enough. One good one where Liam Delap came close. 5

Omari Hutchinson

Had a few dribbles and showed a real determination to keep the ball at times, but West Ham gave him little to no space to work with. 5

Jack Clarke

Couldn't get into the game in the first half. Improved when Ipswich had spells on the ball after the break, including some nice footwork to send Guido Rodriguez flying, but wasn't enough of a threat. 5

Liam Delap

Took his goal really well, even if Alphonse Areola should've done better. From there, he had some nice moments on the ball but struggled to impose himself. West Ham's centre-backs got the better of him too often. Tested the goalkeeper with a header after the break. 7 (Man of the Match)

Missed a good chance to get a goal against the club he supports. Looked frustrated. 5

Couldn't get into the game. 5

Sub: Jack Taylor (74')

Almost caught out making a lunging tackle that could've seen him punished quickly after coming on. 5
