Ipswich Town scored a stoppage time equaliser to take a point from their trip to Southampton. Alex Jones provides his player ratings.

Arijanet Muric

Nothing he could’ve done about the goal Town conceded. He made a couple of strong saves and looked more comfortable playing out from the back. 7

Axel Tuanzebe

Made a poor pass out that led to Southampton’s goal - a really disappointing mistake. He recovered well after that and limited the Saints’ left side after that. 6

Dara O'Shea

Had a few really nervy moments where he had to be bailed out. Spent plenty of time on the ball but found no space to play it forward. Had a couple of opportunities to showcase his pace. 6

Jacob Greaves

A much harder game for him. Made some big tackles but also struggled with some of Cameron Archer’s movement. 6

Leif Davis

Had some tough moments up against Tyler Dibling and really didn’t have much of an opportunity to go forward. Had plenty of corners but really struggled to get them into dangerous areas. The one time he did - in first-half stoppage time - he almost scored. 5

Sam Morsy

Ended up getting overrun a little at times but largely held his own. Took a lot of bravery to take aim from distance deep into stoppage and was rewarded with a deflection that carried it in. A brilliant moment. 7 (Man of the Match)

Jens Cajuste

A first Premier League start. He didn’t particularly stand out but had some decent moments on the ball. Looked a little rusty at times but he’s clearly adapting to English football still. It’ll take time. 6

Wes Burns

Was the outlet in the first half as Town constantly looked to pick him out. His direct running was a real problem for Southampton until they put more numbers on him. Delivered some dangerous crosses. 6

Omari Hutchinson

Frustrating in a way. Showed some incredible quality on the ball with some outstanding dribbling but then gave it away far too much. Should've had an assist at the start of the second half but also picked up a needless booking. 6

Sammie Szmodics

Once again, really didn't have much time on the ball - just 23 touches. Had a couple of opportunities to score early, then had a glorious chance to equalise just after the break from Omari Hutchinson's pass and smashed the side netting. 5

Liam Delap

Southampton doubled up on him and he found it pretty tough as a result. Didn't have a lot of service but the Saints stifled him in the final third. 6

Sub: Jack Taylor (61')

A tough game to come into. Got stuck in straight away and tried to help Town look more comfortable on the ball. 6

Sub: Jack Clarke (61')

A few slightly odd decisions in possession but Southampton nullified him well. Didn't seem to settle in the game. 5

Sub: Conor Chaplin (73')

Didn't have much space to threaten. 5

Sub: George Hirst (73')

Made contact with a few good headers, including a late one that forced a great save from Ramsdale. Town scored from the resulting corner. 6

Sub: Ben Johnson (82')
