Ipswich Town youngster Ryan Carr has joined National League side Gateshead on loan until January.

The 19-year-old midfielder featured for Kieran McKenna's side throughout pre-season and has been a mainstay for the Under-21s side. 

Carr joined the Blues from Carlisle United for an undisclosed fee in January 2023 after making one senior appearance for the Cumbrians in an EFL trophy tie with Fleetwood Town.

He spent time on loan at National League South outfit Aveley last season and now joins Rob Elliot's side, who are top of the fifth tier after six games played. 

The midfielder could make his debut for the Tynesiders as they host Barnet tomorrow.
