Reiss Nelson is in advanced talks to join Ipswich Town on a season-long loan from Arsenal, the East Anglian Daily Times and Ipswich Star understands.
Should a deal be completed, it would likely end the Blues' pursuit of Armando Broja due to the limit of two Premier League loans in a single season. We understand that a move for the striker is looking 'less and less likely'.
The loan switch will open up space for Raheem Sterling to move to the Emirates from Chelsea, as first called by Fabrizio Romano.
A product of the Gunners' academy, Nelson has scored eight goals in 90 appearances in all competitions for the North Londoners. He's also had time on loan at Bundesliga side Hoffenheim and Eredivisie outfit Feyenoord.
A 24-year-old right winger, he's represented England from Under-16 to Under-21 level.
We also understand that, as things stand, Ipswich striker Ali Al-Hamadi will be staying at the club. Further departures are expected after Freddie Ladapo's mutual contract termination.
