Ipswich Town transfer target Jaden Philogene has confirmed that he won't join FC Barcelona this summer.
The Blues have been targeting Hull City's versatile winger, reportedly submitting a bid worth more than £30 million for him and team-mate Jacob Greaves.
Greaves, a left-sided centre-back who was named in the Championship Team of the Season for 2023/24, is a target for West Ham and Everton, although the former looks set to sign Max Kilman from Wolves instead.
Philogene, on the other hand, has been linked with a handful of Premier League clubs, as well as La Liga giants FC Barcelona.
However, speaking to SER Catalunya, the 22-year-old confirmed that, while he dreams of one day moving to Camp Nou, he prefers to stay in England.
"When I got to know Barça were interested in me, I said, it can't be true. It's the club of my dreams," he revealed.
“I chose the Premier League because it is the clearest offer I have, but my dream is still La Liga.
“Barça is my dream, I hope I can sign for them one day. My idols are Ronaldinho and Neymar."
Yesterday, BBC Sport claimed that Philogene's preference is to join Ipswich this summer, with the Blues in 'advanced talks' to do a deal.
Hull owner Acun Ilicali has admitted that he won't block any player from leaving the MKM Stadium this summer, while transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Philogene 'will decide his future soon'.
