Pitman left the Rockies last month due to other commitments as a coach at AFC Bournemouth’s academy, which would be affected by the travel needed at Step 4 level.

He now joins Danny Thompson's side, who finished fifth in the ninth tier last season, with Pitman scoring against his new side on both occasions for Shaftesbury last term.

His new manager said: “The opportunity to sign a player of Brett’s quality and experience shows the intent and aspirations we have at Baffins this season.

"Brett’s goalscoring record will be a massive help to our squad - at whatever level he’s played at, he’s scored plenty of goals - and we’re hoping he will continue this with us next season.”

This will be his third club at this level, having spent the 2022/23 season at AFC Portchester where he bagged an impressive 50 goals in all competitions.

In total, he scored 15 goals in 70 games for the Blues during his two season at Portman Road and was the club's top scorer with 11 in the 2015/16 campaign.

Since he departed the Blues, he has had spells at Portsmouth, Swindon Town, Bristol Rovers and Eastleigh (loan), before dropping into non-league.
