Ipswich Town have been confirmed as a Premier League club at today's Annual General Meeting.

With that, the division has officially transferred from the 2023/24 campaign to the 2024/25 campaign, with the tables reset ahead of the new season, which kicks off over the weekend of August 17th.

A statement published by the Premier League said: "Following their respective promotions from the EFL Championship, Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton can now officially state that they are part of the Premier League.

"The three clubs who were relegated - Burnley, Luton Town and Sheffield United - have transferred back the share certificates that gave them Premier League status, and the Premier League Board has confirmed the cancellation of these shares.

"A new share certificate for each of the promoted clubs has then been signed by the Premier League directors and company secretary. As required under company law, the three clubs have been entered into the share register.

"As a result, the confirmation of the three promoted clubs as members of the Premier League has taken place, with the League formally welcoming them by awarding them their framed share certificates."

Ipswich CEO Mark Ashton confirmed via Town TV that he would attend the meeting to receive the Premier League share certificate on behalf of the club.

It will also see clubs vote on Wolves' proposition to abolish Video Assistant Referee [VAR] technology - which is expected to fail - as well as other motions on anchoring and Profit and Sustainability Rules [PSR].

The fixtures for the 2024/25 Premier League campaign will be revealed at 9am on Tuesday, June 18th.
