Ipswich Town have announced their first summer friendly ahead of a return to the Premier League.
Kieran McKenna's men will face German side Fortuna Düsseldorf, at Portman Road, on Saturday, July 27 in a 3pm kick-off.
Düsseldorf are currently third in the Bundesliga 2 and could yet be promoted back to the top flight via a play-off game.
Ipswich's relationship with Düsseldorf has grown ever since a group of the German club's fans came over to watch a game at Portman Road in 2006. They soon formed the 'Fortuna Blues' supporters' group and have been regularly travelling over in increasing numbers ever since.
Close to 600 Town fans made the trip to Düsseldorf for an away friendly in 2015, with many often heading over as part of this growing "Fanfreundschaft" (fan friendship).
It's understood that Ipswich will, just like last year, head to Austria for a summer training camp and friendly fixture.
