Ipswich Town have dropped out of the Championship's automatic promotion places following Leeds United's 4-3 win at Middlesbrough tonight.
Boro took an early lead through Isaiah Jones (7), Leeds quickly hit back with goals from Crysenscio Summerville (penalty, 14) and Patrick Bamford (18), only for Emmanuel Latte Lath to level the match (30) inside a breathless opening half hour.
Goals from Willy Gnonto (39) and Summerville (61) gave the visitors a two-goal cushion, before Latte Lath scored in the 87th minute to set-up a grandstand finish.
This was Leeds' first win in four and Boro's first defeat in 10.
Victory sees Daniel Farke's men leapfrog Ipswich into second spot. The Yorkshire club are now a point clear of Town (effectively two due to an 11 goal superior goal difference), but have played a game more.
The top of the Championship table now reads: Leicester P43 91pts, Leeds P44 90pts, Ipswich P43 89pts, Southampton P43 84pts.
