Ipswich Town youngster Rio Morgan is to miss the rest of the season after going under the knife last week.
The 18-year-old forward, who has featured for both the U18s and U21s this campaign, underwent a latarjet operation to fix a recurring dislocated shoulder.
Morgan signed his first professional deal with the club in January last year and featured for Kieran McKenna's side during pre-season.
He has won caps for Northern Ireland at U17, U18 and U19 level, and was most recently part of the latter's camp last month in preparation for the European Championship finals in July.
In other news, Town U21s were held to a 1-1 draw with Crewe at their training ground in Professional Development League Two South this afternoon.
The Railwaymen took the lead via Muhamed Jatta in the 14th minute, before trialist Karl Bailey scored the equaliser ten minutes later for the young Blues as the points were shared.
Bailey, who is a left-winger, is currently with Woking’s youth set-up and also featured for the Town U18s on Saturday.
John McGreal's side return to action when they host Wigan Athletic at Portman Road next Tuesday.
Town U21s: Williamson, Nkansa-Dwamena, O'Connor, Mazionis, Lavin, Towler, Turner, Okunowo, Uzor, Taylor, Bailey.
