Former Ipswich Town skipper Luke Chambers has received the Tom Finney Award for 'an outstanding career and exceptional contribution to the EFL' at tonight's EFL Awards.
The 38-year-old, who made closer to 400 appearances for the Blues between 2012 and 2021, hung up his boots last summer after a spell at Colchester United.
With 871 career appearances to his name, the former Northampton and Nottingham Forest defender is seventh in the all-time EFL appearance makers list.
He said: "I wasn't expecting this. I'm speechless. I haven't really reflected on my career and what I've achieved yet. I was always as selfless as possible, always putting my team-mates and club first. To receive this recognition is absolutely incredible. Thank you."
