Ahead of tomorrow's clash between Plymouth Argyle and Ipswich Town, Ross Halls takes a look at 10 players to have featured for both sides.
CHRISTIAN WALTON
Born and raised in Cornwall, the current Town keeper was an Argyle season ticket holder when he was younger and came through their academy before signing for Brighton & Hove Albion in 2013.
Walton returned to Home Park for a brief loan spell, making four appearances during the 2015/16 season.
FREDDIE LADAPO
The Town striker scored 19 goals in 49 games for Plymouth during the 2018/19 season.
He was subsequently sold to Rotherham United before joining the Blues in the summer of 2022, although he is currently on loan at Charlton Athletic in League One.
PAUL MARINER
The legendary forward began his career in Devon, where he scored 61 times in 155 appearances, before he moved to Ipswich in 1976.
Mariner was a key man in the Sir Bobby’s Robson teams that won the FA Cup in 1978 and the UEFA Cup in 1981. England international scored 135 goals in 339 games for the Blues.
The late, great front man has a special place in the hearts of both sets of fans.
JAMES WILSON
The Welsh centre-back spent two seasons at Town, making just under 50 appearances. He was named Player of the Year in the 2020/21 campaign.
Wilson departed the Blues to join Plymouth in 2021, where he helped them win the League One title ahead of Town last season. He left Home Park last summer to join Bristol Rovers.
STEVE MCCALL
Defender came through Town's academy ranks, making more than 250 appearances for the club and playing his part in the UEFA Cup glory of 1981.
McCall had two separate spells at Plymouth, making over 100 appearances for them. He finished his career at Home Park in 2000.
FRANK NOUBLE
The much-travelled forward joined Town from Wolves in 2013, going on to score just five goals in 60 appearances.
Nouble later spent a season at Argyle, where he played 32 games, scoring two goals, before departing the club to join Colchester United in 2021.
DAVID NORRIS
The midfielder made over 200 appearances for Plymouth, helping them win promotion to the Championship in 2004. He ended up joining the Blues in January 2008.
Norris captained Town and went on to make over 100 appearances during his spell at Portman Road.
ALAN JUDGE
The Irishman had two loan spells with the Pilgrims from Blackburn Rovers, making 57 appearances and scoring seven goals.
Judge spent three seasons at Town, where he played just under 100 games between 2019 and 2021.
LEE MARTIN
The winger spent the first half of the 2007/08 campaign on loan at Plymouth from Man United. He made 12 appearances and scored two goals.
Martin went on to sign for Town from United for a fee of £1.5 million in 2009, making over 100 appearances in his four years at the club.
There has been many other players to feature for both clubs, including Terry Austin, Billy Clarke, Lee Chapman, Darren Currie, Rory Fallon, Toumani Diagouraga, Conor Grant, Lee Hodges, Earl Jean, Ronan Murray and Andy Nelson.
