Former Ipswich Town forward Jay Emmanuel-Thomas has joined National League side Kidderminster Harriers.
The 33-year-old has been without a club since leaving Indian Super League side side Jamshedpur in June last year.
Emmanuel-Thomas had been training with Kidderminster’s squad before signing and was unused sub in their 2-1 win at Oldham Athletic on Saturday.
The Harriers are managed by former Hull City boss Phil Brown, who was appointed last month.
They are 22nd in the table, three points adrift in the relegation zone.
Brown said: “Jay is someone I have been trying to get a hold off for probably four or five years.
“I have watched him closely over the years… his presence is enormous, he’s a character, he’s got personality, and all of those things, he needs to bring to the party.
“We’ve really been putting some miles into him over the last couple of weeks [and] hopefully he’ll play some part in the games over the coming week.
“It’s a bit early to make any statements at the moment but I am delighted to have Jay on board.”
Emmanuel-Thomas hasn't played in England since leaving QPR at the end of 2017/18, having played in Thailand and Scotland.
The forward joined Town for £1.1m from Arsenal in 2011, but he departed the Blues two years later to join Bristol City in a straight swap for Paul Anderson.
In total, he scored nine goals in 75 games during his spell at Portman Road.
