Manchester United loanee Brandon Williams is set to return to Ipswich Town in another 10-14 days, manager Kieran McKenna has revealed.
The 23-year-old full-back was in fine form back in October, but a series of knocks and illnesses restricted him to just three starts from the start of November onwards.
He returned to parent club United for 'medical assessment' in mid-January, but it's been decided that the loan spell won't be cut short.
"We're happy that decision has been reached," said McKenna, speaking at his press conference ahead of tomorrow afternoon's Championship match at Preston.
"He's still at United, he's probably going to be another 10 days, two weeks maximum there while he finishes off his recovery.
"We're hopeful then that we'll get back a Brandon Williams in a better place from a physical point of view and we know that can be a big addition to the group. He can hopefully help us in the latter stages of the season."
