Cardiff City are eyeing a move for Ipswich Town defender Axel Tuanzebe, according to Sky Sports.
Released by Manchester United, the 26-year-old was reunited with his former coach Kieran McKenna last September when he signed as a free agent.
The former England youth international, who has seen a promising career stall due to a back injury, has slowly been built up to fitness over the last few months.

He has made seven starts and two sub appearances for the Blues so far, including back-to-back starts in recent games against Stoke and AFC Wimbledon, but only had a late cameo in last weekend's 2-1 home win against Sunderland.
According to Sky Sports, the central defender wants to play more regularly and Cardiff - currently 13th in the table - are interested in signing him this window, with other Championship clubs also said to be keen.
Tuanzebe is contracted at Ipswich until the end of the season, with the club holding an option to extend that deal by a further 12 months should they wish.
On the face of it, it would seem unlikely that Ipswich would let a centre-half leave at present given both Cameron Burgess (Australia) and Elkan Baggott (Indonesia) are away at the Asian Cup. Luke Woolfenden and George Edmundson are the other senior options.
That said, the Blues are working within Financial Fair Play restrictions and may wish to free up funds in to use in their search for a striker.
