Tractor Girls manager Joe Sheehan said he had "mixed emotions" following his side's 1-0 defeat to Oxford United at the AGL Arena this afternoon.
The Blues were largely dominant, but couldn't create the clear cut chances they needed as they slipped to a loss.
Sheehan said: "We are really disappointed to not even draw the game, let alone win it.
"It was clear we were the dominant team throughout, which isn't easy against Oxford who are doing well this year and have had some really big results themselves.
"It's testament to how good we have been, but we weren't our usual slick self in the final third and we didn't test the goalkeeper as much as we would have hoped to.
"There was lots to be really positive about but really disappointed we didn't get anything from it."
Town defender Evie Williams was shown a straight red late on in the game, for denying a goal-scoring opportunity.

Sheehan said: "A lot of people have said that they thought the attacker had hit the floor or slipped with no contact, and Evie is adamant that she didn't touch the attacker, so hopefully footage will shown that's the case and it can be overturned on appeal."
Town defender Maisy Barker said: "It's tough to take this, because I thought we dominated the entire game, unfortunately the result didn't go our way, we just have to learn from this."
The defender, who joined the club in the summer, was named Town's player of the month for December. Of that, she said: "It's a big achievement for me.
"I've worked really hard to get to where I am right now, I was out for a while and it was hard but it just shows that hard work does pay odd and you can get to where you want.
"I am very grateful to win this."
Town will look to bounce back as they host high-flying Championship side Charlton Athletic in the fourth round of the FA Cup next weekend.
Sheehan said: "We look forward to it. We're doing really well, lots of positives from today to build on and we can take into that game.
"If we're at it on the day, and we put together our best football, there's no reason why we can't cause an upset."
Barker enthused: "A game against any team in a higher division is exciting.
"We have shown our quality in the past against higher opposition and we can turn up in big games, so we will be ready for next week."
