On-loan striker Dane Scarlett has been recalled by parent club Tottenham Hotspur after making just 12 cameo appearances for Ipswich Town.
The 19-year-old joined the club towards the latter end of the summer, where he was set to compete with George Hirst, Freddie Ladapo and Kayden Jackson for a place in the starting lineup.
However, having been brought on at half-time in Spurs' Carabao Cup clash against Fulham, he was ineligible to play for Town in the competition, which significantly limited his minutes.
In the end, he played less than two and a half hours in total off the bench, with Ange Postecoglou opting to recall him amid numerous injury issues. With Heung-Min Son set to feature in the Asian Cup too, the Australian manager will be short of numbers in attack.
Scarlett was left out of Town's squad for their 4-0 defeat to Leeds United, with Kieran McKenna revealing after the game that a return to North London was inevitable.
With Hirst picking up a hamstring injury in last night's 1-1 draw against Leicester City, it leaves Ladapo and Jackson as the only fit strikers in the first-team squad. The Blues have been linked with a move for Fulham's Jay Stansfield, who's on loan at Birmingham City.
