Osman Foyo was among the scorers for Ipswich Town’s U21s as they beat AFC Bournemouth 3-1 at the Vitality Stadium to end the Cherries’ 12-game unbeaten run tonight.
The young Blues featured Elkan Baggott and trialist Alex Stepien-Iwumene, an 18-year-old central midfielder from Southampton who played in the 1-1 draw with Millwall last month.
Daniel O’Connor put the Blues in front in the 13th minute, before Foyo made it 2-0 five minutes into the second half for his fifth goal of the season.
Midfielder Matty Roberts then added the third just before after the hour mark, before Kian Tydeman pulled one back for the home side.
John McGreal's side claimed all three points in front of a crowd of 2,279.
Town U21s: Gray, Jambang (Lavin), O’Connor, Agbaje, Baggott, Carr, Roberts, Stepien-Iwumene, Boatswain (Moodie), Foyo, Ayinde (Amadou).
