On loan Ipswich Town winger Kyle Edwards has been ruled out until the new year.
Edwards joined League One side Oxford United on deadline day in the summer and has scored two goals in six games across all competitions.
He suffered a hamstring injury during training at the end of September, but returned to action and played the final 25 minutes of Des Buckingham's first game in charge against Cheltenham Town on November 25th.
The 25-year-old then started but played just the first half in their goalless draw at home to Bolton Wanderers, and was left out of the matchday squad against Grimsby on Saturday.
Buckingham said: “There’s a bit of a setback with Kyle, so we’ve sent him for another scan, just to make sure we’re clear on what that is.
“He’s probably another one we’re not going to see until the new year."
Edwards is due to remain with the U's until the end of the season, but Town have a January recall option with him being in the final year of his contract at Portman Road.
