Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna has explained why Manchester United loanee Brandon Williams dropped out the squad again last night.
The 23-year-old full-back wasn't in the matchday 20 for a 2-2 draw at Birmingham in early November, was an unused sub for the subsequent midweek draw at Rotherham, then was absent again for the 3-2 home win against Swansea. McKenna said that was down to illness.
Following the international break, Williams started in Town's 2-0 defeat at West Brom but was again out of the squad for Wednesday night's 3-1 home win against Millwall.
"He missed a couple of days after West Brom with a knock but he’ll be hopefully training by the end of the week and we’ll see if he’s available for Coventry (at home on Saturday),” explained the Blues boss after the game.
