Ipswich Town under-21's suffered a 4-0 defeat away at Swansea City in the Professional Development League this afternoon.
The young Blues travelled to the Swans' Landore Training Ground, where they found themselves a goal down just four minutes into the game after Kyrell Wilson chipped goalkeeper Woody Williamson.
They fell further behind eight minutes later as Wilson turned provider, making a quick run down the right before setting up DC United loanee and USA under-19 international Kristian Fletcher for a tap-in.
Ipswich held on until the break, but they failed to make a comeback after the restart. Fletcher eventually bagged his second goal of the game in the 80th minute before making it a hat-trick six minutes later.
The result leaves John McGreal and David Wright's side in fifth place ahead of their trip to AFC Bournemouth next Tuesday (7pm).
Town under-21's: Williamson, Agbaje, Lavin, Mazionis, O'Connor, Carr, Roberts, Trialist, Boatswain, Foyo, Ayinde
