Ipswich Town Football Club has announced it will be rebranding the name of one of its stands after ending its partnership with Magnus.
In a statement on Wednesday, the club announced that its corporate partnership with Magnus Group Ltd has ended through mutual agreement.
Magnus Group, a logistics company in Suffolk, was an elite partner of the Football Club and had sponsored the West Stand at Portman Road since August 2021.
A spokesman for Ipswich Town Football Club said: "The Club would like to thank Magnus Group, including Olly Magnus, CEO of the company, for their support in that time.
"The West Stand at Portman Road will be rebranded in due course, with the Club currently discussing partnership opportunities with multiple organisations."
It comes after the freight company filed a Notice of Intention to appoint an administrator to the High Court in London.
The date the notice was filed was Friday, November 10.
The company, which has a large base in Great Blakenham, near Ipswich, has been operating since 1973 and has become a huge name in freight services in East Anglia and the rest of the UK.
In August 2021 Ipswich Town Football Club renamed the West Stand the Magnus Group West Stand after the Suffolk-based logistics company took on the sponsorship following the end of the club’s deal with the East of England Co-op.
Prior to that, the three-tiered West Stand has been known as the Britannia Stand and the Pioneer Stand.
It is not yet clear when the Magnus branding will be removed from the stand.
