A handful of Ipswich Town's loan players featured for their clubs last night. Ross Halls takes a look at how they got on...

MATT WARD

The youngster made his first start for Braintree Town, scoring twice as they beat Welling United 4-1 at Cressing Road in the National League South.

Ward's second goal - a 30-yard screamer - was the standout moment in the game, helping him earn the Man of the Match award.

FINLEY BARBROOK

The midfielder played the full 90 minutes for Chelmsford City, who won 2-1 at Aveley in the National League South on Monday night.

Barbrook has played five games for the Clarets so far, helping them extend their unbeaten league run to eight games to move into the play-off spots.

CAMERON STEWART

The defender came on as a 72nd-minute substitute for Cove Rangers, who won 1-0 at home against Montrose in the Scottish League One.

The Toonsers extended their unbeaten run to eight matches, securing a fifth successive victory to remain third in the table.

BEN HADDOCH

The midfielder started for Stowmarket Town as they were trashed 7-0 at Needham Market in the Suffolk County Cup quarter-finals

Haddoch will want to help them get back to winning ways as they travel to Walthamstow in the Isthmian League North Division.
