Cameron Humphreys featured for Ipswich Town's under-21's in a friendly match against Cambridge United this afternoon.
The midfielder had been linked with a loan move over the summer but ended up staying at Portman Road to fight for a place in the squad. He featured in every round of the Carabao Cup before the Blues were elimited by Fulham, starting and scoring against Reading at the end of August.
Championship minutes have been harder to come by, although he provided an assist for Marcus Harness against Birmingham City at the start of November.
He was involved in the match at Playford Road this afternoon, with the under-21's picking up a 4-2 win against Cambridge. The U's reached the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup last season, knocking out nine-time winners Chelsea before losing 3-2 to Jack Wilshere's Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
They fielded a handful of first-team players, including Kai Yearn and Lewis Simper, who were both on the scoresheet.
