Ipswich Town progressed to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup with an astonishing 3-2 comeback win against Wolves at Portman Road. Alex Jones provides his player ratings.

Vaclav Hladky

Definite question marks over whether he could've done better for the opener, having gotten a glove on Hwang Hee-Chan's shot. Did exceptionally well to save Santiago Bueno's header soon after, but couldn't prevent Toti from converting the rebound. 7

Dom Ball

His heavy touch gave the ball away for the opener, but improved massively. Marshalled Wolves' left flank well and made life hard for Hwang.  Battled, defended well and looked comfortable out of position at right-back. The Swiss Army knife delivers once again. 7

George Edmundson

Looked uncomfortable at times in the first half, but grew into the game incredibly well. Then, in the second half, he was everywhere, throwing himself into tackles and clearing the ball under immense pressure. A million miles better than some of his performances in pre-season and in the earlier rounds of the Carabao Cup. 8

Elkan Baggott

Looked confident, which is huge for a young defender up against Premier League attackers. Didn't seem to be tested in the same was as Edmundson, but defended well and looked confident on the ball. Fantastic moment when he sent former Atletico Madrid forward Matheus Cunha flying with a quick turn. 7

Brandon Williams

Didn't always work for him, but did well when the game became physical. When he had space, his crosses weren't always perfect, but he's starting to become a bit more of a Leif Davis-style left-back. Will become a great player for Town with more game time. 7

Lee Evans

Generally solid. Also looked uncomfortable at the start, but quickly found his feet. Sprayed some great passes around, especially in the second half, and did well to move Ipswich up the pitch. 7

Jack Taylor

Worked well in the first half, but was pretty quiet. What he did in the second half was simply astonishing. His long-range strike could easily win Town's Goal of the Season award. 8

Kayden Jackson

Wasn't a great game for him to come into, as Wolves didn't leave a great deal of space in their back line. He worked incredibly hard, however, playing a bit part in both first-half goals. 7

Marcus Harness

Turned a poor start around with an exceptional assist for Omari Hutchinson before setting up Freddie Ladapo for the equaliser. He wasn't done there, playing Taylor into space for his goal to make it a hat-trick of assists. A really special performance. 8 (Man of the Match)

Omari Hutchinson

Town's only real spark of energy when they were struggling early in the first half. His goal topped off a superb half where he'd threatened throughout, causing a lot of problems for an experienced back line. 8

Freddie Ladapo

Did really well for his goal, showcasing real strength to turn and shoot, even if Dan Bentley should've done much better. Came close with some of his other chances, but didn't have too many before being subbed off. 7

Sub: George Hirst (70')

Was always unlikely to have a big involvement given that Town had just taken the lead after he came on. Held the ball up well and battled hard. 6

Sub: Sone Aluko (70')

Got a warm welcome from supporters when he came on and put in a big performance to match.  Copied a lot of what we saw from Harness with his movement and energy, as well as his work rate in the final third. 7

Sub: Cameron Humphreys (70')

Really got stuck in and gave it a good go. Perhaps could've helped Town kill it off late on, but no doubt that the way he grafted played a part in seeing out the win. 6
