Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna has revealed that Janoi Donacien has been ruled out of tomorrow's Championship home clash with Leed United, while George Hirst and Cameron Burgess are both injury doubts.

The Blues boss have got off to the perfect start back in the second-tier, winning their opening three games with the same starting XI.

There will have to be at least one change to the team tomorrow though given that right-back Janoi Donacien limped off in the first half of last weekend's 1-0 win at QPR.

“He’s not going to make it for the weekend,” said the Blues boss. “It's a small groin strain on top of some other issues in and around that area that he has. He's a possible for Cardiff (at home next Saturday), but is not available for tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, McKenna revealed that both centre-back Burgess and striker Hirst are also doubts.

“We have a couple who we need to check,” he said. "Cameron Burgess has a little issue with his ankle and George Hirst has an issue with his adductor, so both will have checks in the morning to see whether they’re available for the game.”

McKenna says new signing Brandon Williams, who arrived on a season-long from Manchester United yesterday, is in contention to make his debut.

He also says that Harry Clarke, who has been managing an Achilles issue, is available for selection.

"We think it's moving in the right direction," said McKenna. "Last week it was pre-planned for him to do 30 minutes (at QPR) and it ended up more like 60+. In the end it was good for him because he came through it no problems.

"He's trained well this week, we're still modifying his programme a little bit, but it's certainly moving in the right direction and he's ready for tomorrow."

Providing an update on keeper Christian Walton, who is sidelined with a foot problem, the Blues boss said: "He's progressing well. Originally the timescale for him was around the 10-12 week mark and I think he's a little bit ahead of that. Day-by-day he's getting better. He's in trainers and he's starting to do bits of handling, but he's still a few weeks away from full training though."
