Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna has confirmed that talks will take place surrounding Elkan Baggott's immediate future before the start of the season.
The centre-back has played regularly throughout pre-season amidst discussions of a loan departure this summer, with League One outfit Stevenage the latest side to be linked with a move.
However, it remains to be seen whether such a departure will materialise, especially after Baggott’s impressive performance against RB Leipzig in the Innsbruck Cup.
Town are also yet to sign another centre-back this summer, which could hold up a potential move being signed off before the start of the campaign.

McKenna refused to rule anything out, however, revealing that discussions will take place with the 20-year-old to decide whether or not he’ll remain at Portman Road for the upcoming season.
"I think we’ll have those conversations with Elkan now that pre-season is done,” he said.
"We’ve had a good spell of time with him. I think he’s improved over the course of the pre-season, to be honest.
"In general, players improve even they spend time in this group with the way the boys train, with the players around him and with the staff that are working with him.

"He’s improved even in the five weeks to this point. He’s a young player, like a Cameron Humphreys, that we think has a future in the game and a future at the club. It’s about finding what the next step is for them next season.
"Is that going to be staying with the group or continuing to gain some more exposure to first-team football? We’ll have those conversations with Elkan next week and reach the right decision for the club and for the player, because he’s someone that we care about and we want to keep progressing."
