The League One promotion race took another turn last night as Sheffield Wednesday dropped points at Cheltenham.
The Owls, who lost to Forest Green on Sunday, could only draw 2-2 in the second game of their Gloucestershire double-header and had to come from behind to claim a point.
Aidan Keena and Alfie May put Cheltenham 2-0 up, before Aden Flint and Lee Gregory netted in the 76th and 87th to rescue a draw, with Wednesday hitting the post with the final kick of the game.
The result means Darren Moore’s side have only taken two points from their last 12, heading into a home clash with Lincoln this weekend.
Wednesday remain second, a point behind leaders Plymouth Argyle, with both sides having played 38 matches.
Ipswich and Barnsley both hold a game in hand on the top two, with Town four points behind Wednesday and the Tykes three points further back in fourth.
The Blues play Derby this weekend, while Barnsley are at home to Morecambe.
Argyle aren’t in League One action, instead facing Bolton Wanderers in the Papa John’s Trophy final at Wembley on Sunday.
