Ipswich Town duo Wes Burns and Nathan Broadhead have both been included in the Wales squad for upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Croatia and Latvia.

Burns, who missed out on selection for the recent winter World Cup in Qatar, will be looking to add to the three caps he picked up last summer.

The 28-year-old has provided six goals and nine assists for Town so far this season.

Broadhead will be looking for his first senior cap. The 24-year-old was a regular for Wales at youth level, was called up to the full squad after helping Sunderland to League One promotion last summer, but then had to withdraw due to injury.

He's made an instant impact since arriving from Everton in a £1.5m move in January, providing four goals and two assists from an inside left forward role.

The pair's involvement puts Ipswich's scheduled game at League One automatic promotion rivals Barnsley on Saturday, March 25 in doubt.

Town, who have already sold more than 3,100 tickets for the game at Oakwell, are likely to postpone that fixture if a third player were to be called up by their country.

Captain Sam Morsy is in the provisional Egpyt squad for African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Malawi, while there's a good chance that left-back Greg Leigh will be in the Jamaica squad for a CONCACAF Nations League game in Mexico.

It's not clear when Egypt or Jamaica will announce their final squads.

Barnsley are likely to have only one player away on international duty - key midfielder Luca Connell (Republic of Ireland U21s).

If Town do postpone their trip to Barnsley then the first available blank midweek to rearrange it to would be Tuesday, April 25 - making it the third from last game of the campaign.
