Christian Walton
Had a couple of efforts to save at the end of the first half and dealt with pressure well. There were a couple of moments where balls from the back were off the mark but many more which helped his side begin attacks. Five clean sheets in a row now. 7
Janoi Donacien
In for a start here and was an important part of Ipswich’s early running, helping to free Kayden Jackson down the right and creating a chance of his own with a big tackle and run forward, leading to a Freddie Ladapo tackle. Solid defensively, proving he is a safe pair of hands for the Blues. 7
Luke Woolfenden
Another clean sheet for this Ipswich Town defensive unit, with Woolfenden of course playing a real part in that. When either he or Burgess get into difficult moments, which there were a couple of tonight, the other is there to clear up. That’s the sign of a good partnership. 7
Cameron Burgess
The Ipswich backline weren’t overly tested in this one but they dealt with all that came their way well enough. Both Burgess and Woolfenden deserve credit for their brave work on the ball as they looked to play from the back. 7
Leif Davis
The defender was good to go again despite hobbling off early on Saturday, giving his side another important shift up and down the left side here before being taken off as a precaution. 6
Sam Morsy
A solid performance from the skipper once again, as we have come to expect. He was involved in the play for the opening goal and was an integral part of the win. Another game passed without a card being picked up. 7
Massimo Luongo
Another excellent outing for the Aussie, who is really showing his worth for Town at the moment. His great pass helped make the opener for Nathan Broadhead, while he hit the bar with a shot which fell to Kayden Jackson for the second. Away from the goals, during his hour on the pitch, he was strong in the tackle and barely gave the ball away. 8
Kayden Jackson
In for a rare start in the league, Jackson made a positive impact throughout this game, beginning with an early charge down on the goalkeeper and continuing with a brilliant cross for the opening goal of the night. Produced a calm finish for the second goal on a night where he was a regular threat. 8
Conor Chaplin
Chaplin didn’t have everything his own way during the opening stages as he tried things which didn’t come off, but he kept playing, kept contributing and produced moments of quality, as well as some shots which threatened the Stanley goal. 6
Nathan Broadhead
The former Evertonian loves playing at Portman Road. That’s four goals for him here now, finishing well from Jackson’s cross for the opener before creating the second with a brilliant jink inside the area to beat his man. Didn’t necessarily contribute as much as he has done of late during the rest of the game but there are no complaints here, he’s delivering the moments that matter. 8
Freddie Ladapo
Had a couple of efforts, from both feet and head, saved during this game as he worked hard throughout and provided his side with some excellent link play. Dropped deep to get involved time and again and showcased the improvements Kieran McKenna has previously discussed in his game. 7
Marcus Harness (for Broadhead, 62)
The former Portsmouth man has become a regular from the bench of late and has made a succession of positive contributions in this role. He nearly found the net, flashing a near post header over from a corner. 6
Cameron Humphreys (for Luongo, 62)
Kept the ball moving well through the middle of midfield after coming into the contest in place of Luongo. He’s still got a big part to play this season. 6
George Hirst (for Ladapo, 72)
Came on for the final 20 minutes or so and put himself about well, looking to force openings. 6
Harry Clarke (for Davis, 72)
Came into the side on the left of the defence and made a major contribution in stoppage time, charging forward and forcing the red card which led to Kyle Edwards’ third goal. 7
Kyle Edwards (for Chaplin, 84)
On for the final few minutes and found time to curl home an excellent free-kick to complete the scoring. He had a huge grin on his face. 7
