Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna says he is 'under no illusions as to what we're going to have to stand up to' ahead of tomorrow's league clash with Burton Albion at Portman Road.
The Blues had to dig deep to win the reverse fixture 1-0 last August, McKenna describing the home side's approach as 'aggressive chaos' that night.
Since then Dino Maamria has replaced Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in the hot-seat and overseen a big turnover of players during the January transfer window.
But McKenna insists the Brewers' principles have remained the same during an impressive recent run - six wins from 10 lifting them out of the relegation zone.
"That was a very, very difficult game against a really aggressive, physical team who look to put the ball in your box and put you under pressure," said McKenna, reflecting on his side's testing night at the Pirelli Stadium.
"That was the most chances anyone has had against us in any game this season by a fair way.
"They've obviously had a big turnover of players since then. They've brought in some strong, experienced defenders. (Jasper) Moon and (Sam) Lavelle have played in this division and higher.
"I think it's a Burton team that still has those same strengths that they showed against us that day though. That's what's been getting them very good results lately.
"We're fully aware of what their strengths are and we're under no illusions as to what we're going to have to stand up to.
"But at the same time we're playing at home in front of our supporters and we'll look to impose ourselves, be positive and do everything we can to win the game."
Having closed the gap to second-place Plymouth to five points following wins against Forest Green and MK Dons, Town have an opportunity to build some momentum with two homes in the space of four days. Accrington Stanley are the visitors on Tuesday night.
"I know when you have two home games in a week like this it's easy for people to group them, but we've been very conscious to keep our mentality of one game at a time," said McKenna.
"We haven't thought about runs or points or anything. It's Burton on Saturday - an opponent who have given sides big problems lately and a side who are a completely different style to what we've faced in recent weeks.
"It's one we need to be ready for."
