Sheffield Wednesday winger Marvin Johnson has been handed a three-game ban for his involvement in an off-the-ball incident at Portman Road earlier this month.
Johnson appeared to swing his arm at Burns as an Ipswich corner came into the box. The linesman on the far side flagged for a penalty, but referee Geoff Eltringham wasn't able to issue a card as he was uncertain of the perpertrator.
The Owls attacker denied that his behaviour was 'improper and/or violent', but an independent Regulatory Commission found the charge to be proven and imposed his suspension following a hearing.
The 32-year-old will now sit out games against Charlton (a), Peterborough (h) and Portsmouth (a).
