Ipswich Town skipper Sam Mosy has taken to Twitter to apologise to Ipswich Town fans after he was captured arguing with supporters in the wake of the 0-0 draw at Bristol Rovers.

In a video widely shared on social media, Morsy was shown embroiled in a frank exchange of views with fans after the disappointing draw, before being led away by a member of Town staff.

Now the skipper has apologised for his actions on social media.

He wrote: "To the Blue Army,

"I'd like to apologise for my actions after yesterday's match.

"I was emotional and I completely understand the fans frustrations, we will give all we have to turn it around.

"I can't explain how proud I am to lead this iconic football club.

"Every single week you turn up in your numbers, pay your hard earned cash to follow us home & away and there's not a second that goes by that I don't appreciate that.

"See you on Saturday."

The Blues host rock-bottom Forest Green Rovers this weekend, the start of a run of four games against sides in the bottom six.
