Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna says deals for forward duo George Hirst and Nathan Broadhead are not yet complete.
Leicester City striker Hirst watched this afternoon's 4-1 FA Cup win against Rotherham United from the Portman Road directors' box, while the EADT and Ipswich Star understands a seven-figure fee has been agreed with Everton for forward Nathan Broadhead.
"Yeah, look, there's nothing really to report," said McKenna, when asked about Hirst being at today's game.
"There's no point denying or confirming anything. Obviously everyone has camera phones. If you have a camera phone and a Google then you can identify people.
"It's an important window for us. We're looking to improve the squad. We're looking to add players who fit the profile in the short and long-term.
"Until anything is confirmed - which at the moment nothing is confirmed between the club and any players or between two clubs - then there's nothing I can really report."
Hirst was a prime target for Town last summer following his 15-goal loan spell for League One rivals Portsmouth but ended up joining Blackburn Rovers on loan.
The 23-year-old started just two league games for the Championship club during the first half of the campaign though and looks set to be recalled by the Foxes.
Broadhead, 24, scored 13 goals to help fire Sunderland to League One promotion last season and bagged five goals for Championship club Wigan in the first half of this campaign before recently being recalled by the Toffees.
