Ipswich Town are one of a string of clubs being linked with a potential January move for Crystal Palace attacker Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.
The 20-year-old is currently on loan at Charlton Athletic but has a break clause in his deal, with national reports suggesting Palace could look to recall him at a time when the Addicks are struggling.
If that happens, reports say Town, Sheffield Wednesday, Hull and Millwall could look to move for him.
It’s understood Rak-Sakyi is a player the Blues have discussed but have not progressed as the club heads towards the January transfer window.
Rak-Sakyi has made 22 appearances for the Addicks this season and scored five goals, one of which came in Town’s 4-4 draw at The Valley earlier in the season.
Discussing the January window recently, Town CEO Mark Ashton has insisted the Blues ‘will leave no stone unturned’ as they bid to win promotion from League One this season.
“We know clearly the positions Kieran wants in January and he’s very specific,” Ashton said, speaking as part of a wide-ranging chat with our Kings of Anglia podcast.
“Kieran is very clear on what he wants and we’re down the line on a number of those, as you would expect us to be, but a deal’s not a deal until it’s done.
“This fanbase will know that from myself, Kieran and this recruitment staff, the one thing they can expect is that there will be activity in January.
“I don’t want to leave any stone unturned or leave anything on the table. I don’t want to be looking back at the end of the season thinking ‘if only, if only, I wish’.”
Meanwhile, Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony has insisted there is no truth in speculation Ipswich are moving for Posh striker Jonson Clarke-Harris.
