Culford School played host to former British number one tennis ace Tim Henman OBE last week, where he delivered a master class for members of the school’s high performance squad.
During the day, Henman supported coaching sessions with each of the West Suffolk school’s high performance coaches followed by a 90-minute Q&A session with sports scholars, parents and special guests.
Henman said: “Culford has a great set-up and the facilities on site means the children can combine their education with sport. “There are plenty of players with a lot of potential and I’ve been focusing on getting them to engage mentally.”
Head of Tennis James Yates added: “We are delighted that Tim returned to Culford giving advice to coaches and pupils.
“His insight into the requirements of the modern game were both informative and motivational to everyone involved.”
