History will be brought to life at Stowmarket’s Museum of East Anglian Life this weekend.
The museum is holding its first ever East Anglian Living History Fayre, featuring rampaging Vikings, heroic British troops, the mighty Romans and the terrible Tudors.
Collections manager at the museum, Lisa Harris, said: “We’re always on the lookout for new and exciting ways for visitors to discover the stories of history.
“Many of them have asked for living history so we’ve listened and will be filling our 75-acre site with passionate re-enactors who will help you to experience history firsthand.
“Have a go at object handling or trying on costume, watch fascinating demonstrations, and ask questions of our experts as they live the past in the present.”
For more information, contact the museum on enquiries@eastanglianlife.org.uk or telephone 01449 612229.
The event takes place between 10am and 4.30pm and between 11am and 4.30pm on Sunday.
Tickets are available in advance £10 per adult and £5 per child (per day) or on the day £12.50 per adult and £6.50 per child.
