Bury St Edmunds’ new farmers’ market is back following a successful pre-Christmas launch.
The market will be at the Traverse in the town centre on Sunday, March 12, from 10am to 4pm.
Local food and drink producers will be out in force, including Wooster’s Bakery with its new ‘Bury Loaf’ especially created for the farmers’ market, The Beehouse Honey Company with its Bury St Edmunds honey, The New England Boar Company, Truly Traceable Pies, Casey’s cakes, stalls selling traditional English puddings, and Suffolk pork and gluten-free products from Madame Sunshine.
All the produce sold is made by the person selling it to give customers a chance to meet them face to face, organisers say. Most will be from within a 30 mile radius, and all within 50 miles.
The market, run by Justine Paul of Suffolk Market Events, will be returning on second Sunday of the month. The next date is April 9.
